Thanks Boxster1971. I'm not running the generator, plugged in to 30amp service. Trying a couple of different things to see if can get the fridge to hold temp in the good blue zone. Temp in garage is approx 90 degrees, humidity is high. A/C set on 82 degrees and opened the roof fan vent and running on low to try and circulate air in coach more. So far fridge temp is about 40, don't have anything in fridge at the moment.

Could wait 'til after about 1400 and the sun wouldn't shine in the garage.

If you are just running the roof A/C and have the roof vent fan running, I doubt you'll be able to lower the interior temp. much. Try running the chassis A/C on Recirc (shuts off after 30 min) along w/ the roof A/C and vent fan closed.

Sorry for confusion - when I saw CO I was thinking of generator exhaust. I've never heard that the A/C can put out CO - I'm thinking Carbon Monoxide. It's just a heat exchanger. Can you explain?

Didn't say the A/C was creating the CO. They said that they were running it in the garage which is where the CO would come from if they were running the generator which it turned out that they were on shore power.

Bottom line is that it's not a good test because the garage is going to be heated by the heat removed from the interior by the A/C. Might as well park under a shade tree, be cooler there. And until you can get the heat being removed from the interior of the frig and freezer out of the enclosure, it's not going to cool very well. I think someone already stated that the ventilation for the enclosure didn't meet the NovaKool specs.

Agreed - your post #30 and post #32 discuss the fact the the Airstream Interstate GT installation does not meet the Nova Kool specs for ventilation of the heat exchanger.

2014.5 Lounge problems

As I have stated in more current threads, my 2014.5 Lounge refrigerator has NO bottom venting and very poor top venting. I can't get it under 44 on hot days and it is still February.

I just ordered a grille to replace the 3" high board below the drawer beneath the microwave. The vent is a marine part that will take some southern engineering to fit, but it should be attractive when I am done. I'm also considering an additional vent on the aft end of the galley cabinet between the folding counter extension and the wall, probably using a 3" furnace register.

I have piles of 12v muffin fans of all sizes in my shop. If the vents don't do the job, I'll pull the box out and install one of my fans following the Novakool drawings. I can fabricate whatever mounting parts I may need. I would use the taps that Novakool supplies for fan power, but I would also wire a switch in series to kill the fan when not needed.
