Those beds look really nice. Look like they would even work in a regular trailer.

Question. Is your interior what Airstream calls "Beach Wood?" If so, I have been trying to locate matching laminate for changes to mine and I would like to find the manufacturer and pattern of the laminate.

My laminate is Wilsonart “Asian Night”. Unfortunately it is no longer in production. My upfitter was able to get it ordered before the end of production. It ended in Oct 2018.

Thank you!! My wife wanted to see what that looked like... We might do something similar further down the road.
I ordered three sheets of matching laminate (now in the correct smooth finish) to keep handy just in case I do this. I do not want to run into a situation where they discontinue the color/pattern in the future...

We do as well!! Mara just wants more countertop space... with the kids no longer traveling with us, we could make a few changes like that...
Thank you again, it looks amazing.

Toskeysam that looks fantastic. The open views or something I would not want to give up either.
Even though we do not have a sprinter van I read these threads regularly. I swear someday if we make it deep into retirement, tire of pulling trailers, have any money left we may invest in a van someday. Of course one could say why wait but for now we still are enamored with our vintage trailers. Even in trailers I'm starting to prefer the ones redone without upper cabinets for the open feeling.

Looks fantastic. Love the beds. Are they electric? How long did it take them to do everything? I would love the contact info too. Thanks for sharing

It took about 4 weeks of work time. The beds are electric (120 volt). They run off the inverter (like everything 120 in the van). The beds were a last minute addition. We had planned on simple platforms with a hinged point to raise the head manually, but saw these and went “Hmmmmm”.
I will PM the contact information to you.

You are killing me... You have set the bar high... not sure if to thank you or pssfftt!!
That came out so great. Wife saw the photos and loved everything you guys did.
When we do ours, we might just keep one of the chairs or simply remove it and leave that area, next to the sliding door, open...
I did have a question. That countertop, were they able to blend the Corian with the exiting one when it got extended or was that a completely new countertop?

It’s an entirely new countertop. It’s not Corian. We had some major problems with the distributor....first sheet came with serious damage. Couldn’t get timely shipment on replacement.
Our upfitter has another line of counter materials that is hard to distinguish from Corian.
We went with a slightly different pattern, but we love it.
One thing I did learn with all of this....I have GOT to lose some weight. Those tight working quarters are tough...doable but tough.

Really terrific end result you've got there. A nice hybrid between Lounge and Grand Tour living, if not better. George Mauro of Humble Road could take a lesson from you with that layout !!

In retrospect, the area next to the sliding door would’ve made a great location for a larger refrigerator. We could’ve put the drawers where the small refrigerator is now. It would’ve also made it much easier to get ventilation for the new refrigerator.
Rethinking can be a dangerous thing..........

Wow! This is utterly fantastic! I am intrigued by the beds. In one picture, it seems as if they can slide together. Am I seeing this correctly? Also, are the beds 30" wide? If you have any details about the manufacturer of the bed frames & slat supports, I'm interested. We live too far away to consider taking our Chinook motorhome where you took yours, but this is what we'd like to do to make it more comfortable. Thanks so much for sharing this reno.

Bolerama....the beds are 28” wide. They are mounted on ball bearing slides to allow them to pull together. This was done primarily to miss a window box that Airstream uses inside the Interstate. It wouldn’t clear the box when you raise the head of the bed.
Go to axelbloombeds.com to see the details.

Thanks so much, toskeysam. I'll check out that company. What a great design!
