I can safely say that I have never been without an A/S or Argosy my entire life. From the time I was born I was camping in A/S's!
Airstream born and Airstream bred, baby!

Cool Us too

Well, I can back up Lou about Airstream being bred right into babies <g> My husband grew up in an Airstreaming family---not sure what year his parents bought their first one, but I'm pretty sure it was before 1964 (the year my husband was born) John has fabulous memories about growing up Airstreaming with his parents and nine siblings.

Lou, you've got me beat. We bought our first Airstream (1976 26' international) a few months before we got married. I had just turned 21 (but my husband was 27). We spent a few months fixing it up, then moved into it right after our marriage and lived in it while finishing college for the next 10 months. Talk about a blast!! Now THAT trailer was a true Silver Love Pad

My husband and I are now 40 and 34, respectively, and that 1976 is long gone but will live forever in our very fond memories. We just bought our very first brand-new Airstream. It's still sitting at the dealer's, but my husband is chomping at the bit to go pick it up. We still have piles of snow in our driveway, so I'm going to try to hold him off for another week or two!

I can look across the street and up my mom's driveway and see that wonderful 1973 Airstream my dad special-ordered back in late 1972.
I have a lot of memories. Very fond memories. My dad died 19 years ago at 58 years old. I miss him dearly but I will always have those memories of him having me and my brothers going over that trailer with a fine-toothed comb every spring! I was repacking bearings EVERY spring. My dad did not mess around he kept everything serviced on that trailer. When I am out working on my Minuet I think back to when my dad was helping me and my brother restore that Bambi. I am tearing up thinking about it right now.....
I miss him but he lives on in every Argosy or Airstream I will ever work on or own.

I'll gladly tell my age over my weight and until May 24 I'm a bit over average at 50, Dan is 53....giving us some time to learn this 'streamin' way of life. The fun will really begin at Dan's retirement when there is no 'workweek' though!

Well, at the present I am still bringing the average age down, but not by much (47). But my wife is a lot younger than I am. ( at least 7 months )

Everytime I do something to the Minuet, my Mom will comment, "Your Dad would sure be proud of you".
My family loves working on and campoing in our Airstreams and Argosys. Everyone in my family now owns one. I am the only "weirdo" that owns two!
