1978 Argosy 27' Service Manual

We recently bought a 1978 Argosy 27. It is in very good condition and we would like to keep it that way. I have been looking for a Service Manual, and so far have not been able to find one. We have the original Owners Manual and that helps somewhat, but I think I need the Service Manual to keep everything in tip top shape.
Any help locating a Service Manual will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Service manuals were never available for Argosy trailers.

However, Argosy trailers are very similiar to the Airstream trailers.

You can get a "service manual" for a 78 Airstream, which would answer most of your questions.

I was certain my 73 manual said Argosy on it. This is making me want to go check. I know I was never able to find anything for a 72, which is why I have a 73 which is close.

btw Andy: thanks again for calling me. I will call and order those tail lights for my Overlander very soon.

Use a 1976 Airstream service manual.

Andy's right, use a 76 Airstream manual. I will tell you this though, you will be disappointed with the lack of detail of the wiring diagram. The basic premise to most of the interior wiring is that it goes up the wall into the ceiling where ever the breaker box/ converter are located, travels front to rear in the ceiling and drops down inside the walls to the various outlets and fixtures. I also feel that each trailer was done a little bit differently depending on who did the wiring. Good Luck, George

If you are only interested in what controls what in the 12 volt system. Then turn everything on and start by pulling one fuse at a time to see what goes off. Make a note of it.
As far as the 120 volt AC there are probably only 2 circuits; one to feed all of the outlets in the trailer including the refer. Another to power the Air Conditioner if you have one.
The exterior lighting would be easily checked out with a battery or a Battery charger. If all wires are connected to the umbilical cord, plug it in to the TV and check the various circuits out.
