Sooo cool to watch God's creation

At the moment, I'm sitting outside my office building taking a break. Around the rather austere building is a lot of rock landscaping. Not far from my vehicle window is a pair of Killdeer Killdeer, Identification, All About Birds - Cornell Lab of Ornithology
poking around the rocks trying to find a suitable nesting area. They are here every year...... glad to see them back.

UP on the roof of the building is a Mockingbird, singing his head off.....

Treasure those moments. There never seems to be enough of them.

We have kildeer out here to. I used to watch them out in my pasture, and I could hear them, but I couldn't see them until they moved - their camouflage is surprisingly effective!

We have those at my office! They are amazing! It's like being at the beach only on the company's lawn :-)

Those are the sounds of Spring. In the morning I open our back door to listen to the morning birds for just a few minutes before I rush out to work. One of my favorite times of day!

I haven't seen killdeer around here, but they might be around. I'm definitely not a bird expert.

The other day I did see one of our good Texas mockingbirds flush a much larger robin out of its territory in no uncertain terms.

Sometimes all we have to do is to stick our heads out of our nest... or is that "nets" =)
