Thanks!! The bunk has the original canvas on it!! I have never dared sleep up there, but my 130lb daughter sleeps there all the time.

Wow, what a beautful Airstream. This is how we want to decorate our new 58 Overlander. Hmmmmm! How much are you selling yours for?

Thanks!
Thanks for the price consult Mello Mike, and for the compliments. I know I won't be able to sell it for what I have into it, but I can always keep it!!!

I doubt it. I'm not actually sure what it was meant for.
I've had this bunk in my basement for a few years...waiting for the young-in to get big enough to use it. I took it out to the trailer last season, to see how things would line up, and...its short. There are marks on my ceiling and walls that show that there was once a bunk like this installed. But the supports are too far apart.
Then I saw a pic on the classifieds here, where someone was selling 2 of these bunks...2 different sizes (lengths), and it then dawned on me that I must have the "short" one. I don't know what it was meant for, but in my trailer, the vertical supports (ribs...like "studs") don't seem to be spaced in such a way that this can be secured on both ends. And I would imagine that most mid-twin bunks are the same length. Maybe there was a caravel or GT gaucho that was shorter than the length of these standard twins, or something....I don't know.
If you look at Gail's pics, you can see that the bunk fills the space between the bulkheads that form the bunk area.

Chuck, was it you who wanted the specs to build one of these? I haven't had a chance to take measurements........ And, yes, it fills the space so well that you have to be really careful, even with two people when you set it up or take it down that you don't scratch the wood.

No...I thought I already had one. (doh!) but I was looking over that bunk carefully when we toured your trailer last summer (which, btw, everyone...it IS quite ~fabulous~. I can't believe you want to sell it.).
That bunk even has the rare storage brackets that allow it to be stored in its folded position, tucked up neatly under the overhead cabinet. ya don't see those very often.

Thank you everyone for the compliments!!!
Your comments are making me feel that I am crazy to sell her; so I have decided to use her at least once this year.........
I am excited to get her ready to bring to the BIRTHDAY BASH in a few weeks!!! I am actually going to make the window awnings that I haven't found time for in the past six years!! If I can find the time, I might even install the two, brand new fantastic fans that I purchased over a year ago!
