Talking If you go to Mothership in Jackson Center...

Please try to avoid sitting in the lobby and spending time in the gift shop.

Also try to stay away from Amy and Gina in the parts/store area. They are too helpful....

You will buy too much....for yourself and others...

Also try to avoid taking the factory tour. You will see new parts being installed on the new model trailers going down the line and find yourself getting the parts to "upgrade" your own trailer.

You will end up buying so much stuff for yourself and other airstreamers you will need a truck to get it all home...

Here are a few pics of Christmas in June....

And the older the trailer, the worse it gets.

It's the coffee that's $100 a cup, the gifts are free with a $100 purchase...

Kevin,

I wished you have done the trip to the factory before we did... I would have been aware of the risk to stay to close to the shop...

The only thing I am missing from there - thanks Lady Penelope - is the boxer short...

and for some reason everyday LadyP would find new stuff to buy,

JC can cost a lot of money...

Indeed they do!

Blevi, Just go to Airstream.com and click on the company store tab. They will be happy to empty your wallet/purse. They have loads of cool stuff that you can get sent right to your door. But, Remember... If it is a part you'll have to order it thru a dealer. Ed

Texas has (or may have just recently repealed it) a law that prohibited any part of the license plate to encroach on the word "Texas"....

Go figure... It was a huge uproar for a while, all car dealers had to redo their license plate advertisements, etc...

Anyways, we ordered one last year, it was too big and covered the "TEXAS", so we returned it.

We have a personalized plate on the trailer now, and may "French" the current plate to be inset like the classic trailers in the future...

Looks to me you got away CHEAP. If I went up there I would end up with a new larger Airstream in tow. Just a pass through the gift store would be a savings...........

Yes, you must stay away from the store because the tour isn't really "free". I had to have the Airstream Xmas lights—so tacky and wonderful. They are now strung out along a log holding up the 2nd floor in the dining/kitchen area to be lighted on special occasions. Barb got the "Wanderlust" 75th anniversary A/S book. When I saw the credit card bill last week I was amazed—that book must be $60. ARRRGH! I wanted more stuff, but exercised self control.
