He only wants to be compensated for shipping. As we all know, all those parts could add up to a small pile of money if they were to be sold on ebay. Instead, he is helping others. He is exhibiting great Airstream Spirit. I sent him "thanks", but it just does not have the same implications as "karma". I hope others will send him thanks for his actions.
So here is where I am going.... Could "karma " be brought back? Could it be voted on in a poll and if a sweeping majority wanted it back, it could be put back. Is that possible? Or maybe it could be a second option to give "thank" or to also hit the "karma " button. Or another idea is that you could offer a super enhanced account where those people willing to pay even more would be able to give "karma" again. I would double my yearly donation just to have this feature. I would even allow more advertisement to be on my screen to have the right to give "karma" again. I realize a "karma blocker" feature will need to be created also for some forums members do not want to receive it(or maybe they just objected to getting it from me). Please consider this folks.
I would love to see karma return

It cannot be put in a box and given as a gift, but here it can. I have embraced this fact and I have gotten in the habit of giving freely to those that I feel deserve karma. Here is where my problem lies. It seems one of the recipients is not appreciative of the karma I have given. I think perhaps their KHARMA is all screwed up and they do not like my generosity. Is there a way to take back the karma you have given? Can a recipient deny the karma you have sent? Is it possible to change your mind after you have given?

From what I have read here, you didn't want karma, but now you do?

OK, let's at least do away with the follow-up dialog box that informs me that I can give "Thanks" and that "I may be lucky enough to get some in return."
I think I already knew that.

Karma, Karma, Karma, carmellia...
Please yes to Karma, no to Bad Karma. The negative effects of giving bad karma hit the sender even worse than the recipient.

Whoop @ss
I think we should add a "Whoop @ss" option.
It would be measured in cans.
It would also be informative if there could be a pop-up notification system, kinda like the PM notification.
A pop-up box could "pop-up" and announce
"So and So has just opened (1) can of "Whoop @aa" on ya.
Reminds me of the story of the 18 wheeler that was hauling a couple of 1000 cases of Whoop @ss, The driver lost control of his rig and overturned on the Long Island Expressway....

A song from long ago
Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts
Mutilated monkey meat
Hairy pickled piggy feet
French fried eyeballs floating in some kerosene
Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts
Scab sandwich, puss on top
Vulture vomit, camel snot
Deep dish boogers soaking in a bowl of fat
Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts
Parrot eyeballs dipped in glue
Petrified porpoise puss
Flaming ear wax bobbing in a bowl of barf
Great green gobs of greasy grimy gopher guts
Dessicated dinosaur dung
Percollated pelican poop
Tortoise turd balls with the little flies inside

Wouldn't you have to have the option of +karma and -karma.
And of course it does have a religious context also. Should I start looking for my saffron robes?
Thank You is pretty clear.

I liked karma better than "thanks". It had more specialness to it. Actually I always appreciate getting thanks or karma, although "rivets" are already given for posting. Maybe there should be more rivets for number of posts—6 for 1,000, 7 for 2,500, 8 for 5,000. After that you get a message to get a life or see a therapist. I agree the follow up message is dumb.
If someone wants to give negative karma, they should get 10 points of negative karma themselves.
The last time this was debated it was made clear that the Bhuddhist concept of kharma was different than the popular American concept of karma. It seemed to be that you can earn it, but no one can give it. I think some people were offended by the popular version. I don't know how many. I am not a big fan of political correctness since it soon becomes censorship, but don't have a clue how to resolve the feelings of the offended. The term "karma" is used all the time in the popular sense that it seems the door is wide open and has been for decades.

I love American chop suey, and for the most the traditions we hold dear in America especially at the holiday season were parts of ancient rituals and by gone religions.
I wish I could view past karma though. It was given and then taken away. The comments were neat to read once in awhile.
No bander on the battle of the sexes I see. Too much turkey dinner, I think. LOL

Negative karma had a 50:1 cost benefit ratio. It was taken as an extremely hostile comment and was rarely constructive. It's been gone ... a couple years? And good riddance. A politic and understated PM can accomplish so much more.

It's so... apros pos.

I was viewing the "Thanks" left for me on my usercp last night. I know it has been awhile, but when did the site stop showing who left you the "Thanks"? I find it silly that I can't see who left me a nice note.

Bumpersticker sighting:
Religion is for people afraid of going to hell.
Spirituality is for those who have been there.
