I would be very concerned with Chrome and what it can do. Look at GMail. Same thing. I know I won't get it when it comes out for OSX....Firefox and Safari work.

Google Chrome may or may not be a good product but please go to a discussion site specializing in Google Chrome to discuss it. This site specializes in Airstreams!!

This is the off topic section and as such more than a reasonable place to discuss it as there is no question that this browser will interact with users of this forum. No need to go elsewhere. This is the correct place.

While this seams menacing I am sure any search engine would have to have the same language in it's agreement or it would not be able to provide information contained on your site as a search result.

I have 2 web sites that I clearly want any search engine to retrieve if someone puts in a query that relates to my site. That is why I posted them. If I had just written "War and Piece" I might not post it directly on the net.

Now if Google were to be profiting from these retrievals that would be a different story.

It''s only rock and roll...

It's' the Internet.... nothing you do on the Internet is private. The minute you contact any web site you post a lot of your information to the destination server in order to start the dialog. If you're that worried about the evil empire knowing what you are doing, use a spoofing firewall that changes your origin information. Too much hassle for me but if you're worried...
Chrome is cool. It is a better method of browsing due to its multi threaded construction. Look out Microsoft, don't mistake the message here. Google will be developing an operating system to compete with Vista. Why do you think that a browser has a task manager?

but I like it....

It's hard to beat Firefox. Chrome? Let others do the testing IMO. Google should be able to straighten it out. Then it remains whether it becomes 'popular' whatever that means. That EULA is to die for...
