Dreaming of Arizona
Well folks,I have just finished shovelling my driveway(100 ft) for the third time in the last 24 hours. There is another 10cm on the way for later today.I must admit that winter is not my favorite time of year.
On a positive note,we don't have to deal with tornados in this part of the world. My thoughts and prayers go out to those that do.

Dream all you want, visit when you can. We've got plenty of room. I don't miss wearing out a snow shovel at all, in fact, I haven't even seen one in close to three decades.
One thing I can say, you doesn't need to shovel sunshine.

Hey, Mike, I know what you're going through. I've plowed this park so many times at this point that I'm just sick of snow.

Well here in SE Arizona we saw snow on the yard twice in 3 years, sat back and waited and the next day it was all GONE. I live at the base of a 10,750 mountain, and it is nice and white, as close as I want to get to snow, also it is next summers water

Sick of the ice and snow?
COME TO FLORIDA INSTEAD!
I am required to make that pitch.
We are going kayaking in Western Lake later today. This is the upper body work out that I prefer over shovelling snow for a like period.

Thanks for the offer. Just thinking about it makes me feel a little warmer. Still in the workforce ....one of these days.

As a fellow Canuck I can feel your pain Mike. Kind of.
Living on the WEST COAST helps. When we get 2cm of snow it's a major disaster. At 5cm they start shutting schools down. At 10cm the sky has literally fallen.
Then it rains and washes it all away.
As for those who mention sun I know what that is. I've seen the pictures right here on the Forum of Death Valley, the 4CU rallies, even some incredible sun set pics from Florida. So when (if) we ever do see a bright orange glow in the sky we'll know what it is.

The Wild West Welcomes
Mike,
Sue and I moved from California for many reasons. We are now proud to live in Arizona.
We will be at the Deadhorse Rally to jawbone about the past.
We wish you were there too.
But shoveling snow may be a higher calling than shoveling the remains of the "Dead Horse."
Have a nice day.

I don't mind the snow or cold weather. But then I work from home (no ice or snow during my commute to the office) and I have "people" to plow, run the snowblower and shovel (people = Leon).
And you don't ever get tornados in Nova Scotia? We rarely get them, but we do get them here in New England.

It's possible Michelle but I have never heard of one here. When I was living in Edmonton Alberta in 1987 a tornado went through. It took out the sub-division next to where I lived at the time.Lives were lost to the power of Mother Nature. That was close enough for me.I'll take the snow any day.

Flyfshr (Brad) has it right...plenty of room here to get out of the snow, so come on down when you can...moved here from Chicago so long ago I'm practically a native now...and don't miss those bitter cold winters and all the snow AT ALL...few here do...
Trying to send you some sunshine through cyberspace! Feel it?

Is THAT what happened in Vancouver, BC today! I saw the sun. I think it was the sun. I'm pretty sure it was. I remember it from last summer. My wife thinks I'm delusional....

Another storm hitting tomorrow, but just 5-10cm followed by rain this time.

I have lived in Tucson, Phoenix and dreamed of living in Florida. All three are favorite places....even go to Nova Scoatia every couple of years to see the beauty, however, nothing compares to beautiful Colorado. We have four distinct seasons here and the sun usually comes out right after a snowstorm. Gotta love it!! Just when you get tired of one season, the other kicks in.

Yuma Az, "Little Canada"
If you come to Yuma you will feel right at home---The town is Canadian snowbird heaven---the resort we're in is 90% Canadian---folks across the street from us only speak French----Curling in the streets once a month---I can almost speak the language ---"ahh", or is it, "ehh" or "ahe"? -------
