any one have a good way to trouble shoot series x mas lights?

other than balling them up and throwing them away!

anyway, if i ever get them working i thought this might be a good place for folks to post pics of their decorations. on the house, trailer or what ever!

happy holidays!!

john

ps, my idea of putting my plastic santa in the window of the excella got shot down about 3 years ago. maybe someone could do it to theirs!!

Yep, buy the tool. They make a tool that checks individual lights, the sockets and the wires. Remember to check the fuses, too. I'm doing the same thing this a.m..

That's what I do. I no longer have the patience to spend hours checking each little light, a replacement string is usually about $1.99, a mere pittance for us millionaire Airstreamers, and is not worth the trouble and aggravation of fixing the problem. I use the 10 minute rule in diagnosing these. If it is going to take more than 10 minutes to fix, I get another set.

And now you know the reason I have the old fashon screw in C-7 base lamp lights. One goes out, the rest stay on and it is easy to just screw up er screw in a new one.

I don't need 'lights' on my aluminum tree @ the office...just the old fashioned turning wheel ~

me too

I was troubleshooting strings of lights today also. Blub by blub down the string til I saw the empty socket. Below is Santa's new ride. We have a rally next week and have a decorating contest at the rally.
