Hi All,
I al looking to have a rv port built. My 79' excella 24' moho is in the shop and I can't get to it. Can anyone tell me how high theirs is to top of AC?

Am looking at a 12' wide by 28' long with 10' legs, this will make the side walls 11' tall and have a 12' peek. I should be ok.....

I have a 79 24 ft Excella and I'm sure 10.5 to 11 ft is plenty of clearance.

When I made mine, I made sure there was lots of clearance. Once my argo is inside my worries are over. More is better. You'll only have two feet at either end of yours, and thats IF your trailer is exactly 24 feet and your walls are exactly 28 feet. Now is the time to spend a little bit more to avoid endless compromises in the future! Hope this helps.

Sorry, I should have said your motorhome and BTW my 1977 argo with 19.5 wheels is 10 ft. 2" high.

My 1984 310 Limited has a label which says the height is 10' 8". I'm sure that this includes the stock AC since the MH it self is not the tall.

I'd be interested in what kind of stucture you are putting up and approx cost is you're willng to say.

WIsh I could do this, no room at present for a permanent structure...my vinyl canopy has really helped in the exterior maintenance of my Moho.

My vinyl canopy had to be taken down when we built the shop, and so this winter the trailer has been out in the weather all season. However our first priority next year is to build it a real cover (which won't wobble around and get tore up like the vinyl one did.

So I'd also be interested in hearing how other people built their covers, or seeing pictures of the finished product. Ours will be mounted to the shop on one side, so it will probably be more like a big porch-cover, only taller.

I am ordering it from "Outdoor Products of Florida" located in Orange Park,Fl.

This will be their "Classic Carport" 29guage roof,10 ground anchors, galvanized square tube framing.
12x28 = $1195.00
10' legs $300.00
2 sides $180.00

sub total $1675.00 (15% labor) and 7% tax for a grand total of $1784.66

will be app. 3 weeks till setup.

The only thing is you won't have much if any head room if you'd ever want or need to climb onto the roof while it is sitting under this RV port - such as in inclement weather when you might not want to take it outside. But, maybe you never get on the roof? I know I often lay on the top of the roof of my Airstream trailer to do maintenance or to wax the top when I have it inside our storage garage. But my garage is 16' high so I could stand on top if I was so foolish.

Alas,
I ws looking at a similar structure for a similar price. When I told the vender the snow load and wind velocity requirements from the county, the price wen up to $8000.
