Wow! Look what's parked next door!

Last evening the dogs kept barking. I finally got up and went outside to see what was causing them to bark. WOW! Lookee here! It's a wonderful 1961 Bambi! Our neighbors have visitors who are traveling with their vintage Bambi. It looks to be in perfect condition. Thought I'd share a picture with you. I've told them about the Airforums, and expect they'll be joining us soon.

As I understand it, the owners, Jane and Pierce, bought it from an older couple who had taken great care of it. Jane told me she's always loved Airstreams, and has alot of questions. I said I was just a novice myself, but the airforums is the place for answers. :-)) We all understand that I-don't-know-why-I-love-these-things.

Talk about good neighbors! We just returned from a home concert by the Bambi owners. They are Hymn For Her, Maggi and Pierce, and are traveling from here to CA for to continue their concert tour. Pierce told me the previous owner found the Bambi in a field, and restored it. All new electric, gas, etc, inside, axle, tires, polish outside. They're coming back through ABQ later this month and I'll have a chance to take some inside pics. Will post them when I get them.

Bambi-Sitting for a few weeks

While Pierce and Maggi headed north to Colorado as part of their Hymn for Her tour, I got to baby-sit the Bambi. Pierce and I winterized it and we parked it with my Sovereign. The neighbors were quite taken that I had 2 Airstreams now. Too bad. I like the idea, actually.

Here's a shot of the COLD afternoon that we settled in the Bambi with the Sovereign.

Pierce and Maggi sent me a link to their music video with the Bambi in it!
It was recorded while on the road.

Happy Holidaze folks! Hope you enjoy this music video we made in Malibu and Big Sur, CA on our tour out west.

1961 bambi

I don't think there is a curbside window on any 1961 bambi, be it ohio or california...i'm i wrong? Why aren't there more posts on this sub-section of bambi stuff?
