On the Road repair
Had a little issue with the pantry door while traveling to Gatlinburg. It’s fixed now!

Victron Battery Monitor Install
I'm a bit slow here but wanted to follow up with a few notes on my Victron Battery Monitor install.
Many folks on the forum have done this installation and documented the process which makes this a great place to glean information.
There are a few things that I learned along the way and thought it might be valuable to add a few details for anyone wanting to do this installation.
I would highly recommend the Victron Monitor with built in bluetooth. The plug on the dongle, at least the one I've got, is not real secure in the back of the monitor and is easily unplugged. During installation this can be very annoying.
Mounting the monitor just inside the street side wardrobe makes pulling wire from the shunt to the gage pretty easy, but it did present a couple of unforeseen issues for me.
First, the wardrobe opening is only about 8 1/2" wide, so to get the (2.125") hole saw normal to the surface requires a right angle drill.
When drilling through, my hole saw did not clear the adjacent board that butts up at a 90 degree angle behind the mounting surface.
This required me to drill deeper to make clearance for the back end of the Victron gage. It also meant that I couldn't use the nylon nut that threads on the back of the gage, but had to use the bezel mount to secure the gage.
Not a big issue but the screws that secure the bezel are little tiny flat head wood screws that strip easily.
I purchased a hydraulic cable crimper and cable cutters to make my own battery cables. This was a big time saver and produced a good looking crimp. Also, it's much easier to pull cable through the existing conduit if it doesn't have the ends on it. This is especially true if you opt for heavier gage cable and heavy duty lugs, which I did.
Not a bad job, but it does take some time to remove the dining seat and lounge to gain access.
Side note:
For the 23D, you will want to allow for a minimum 6' of cable to reach from the battery box, out street side through conduit, up through the floor to the shunt location.

What does this group think about a 23 round up sometime this year? Make it close to mid country, Arkansas, Colorado or? Just throwing it out to see if there is any interest.

We talked about this last year and planned to meet around OKC/Tulsa area but it never got wings.
I’m in if we can get something together.

Somewhere around North Platte, Nebraska is US center but could we first survey of those that would definitely come where they are located. Then work on where. If that location is too far for some, maybe have 2 meetups, one East and the other West?

Western Arkansas or eastern Oklahoma in the Ouachita's or Ozarks could be nice. As for Nebraska, long haul for us but we had a very nice stay in Scottsbluff last fall, great city run campground, lots of history and things to do in the area.
BTW, we are planning to be in La Veta Colorado May 20 till maybe 25, then home to finish moving to Brenham. The move, building a barn and selling Fayetteville is going to tie us up part of the summer.

It’s official, we picked up our 23D Airstream on Friday! I spent parts of weekend getting just getting used to everything and setting up the TV and stereo.
One question about the screen door. I noticed when I closed, there is a gap in the door where it needs to clear the outside door lug. I live in Michigan and that gap will allow mosquitoes to enter and attack us during the night. Any recommendations on closing the gap? I was thinking of using a piece of flexible rubber attached to the inside door frame to block the gap in the door when it’s closed. Any recommendations are appreciated.

CONGRATULATIONS!
I think there is suppose to be some fuzzy velcro type stuff there to block the hole. I’ll take a pic of mine for you tomorrow.

Clarion Speakers not working
Curb side speakers not working; street side speakers work.
Any ideas for an "easy" fix for someone with minimal mechanical skills?

Here you go, was in the garage futzing with our 27FB but it should and be the same.
It’s actually two pieces of the fuzzy stuff, each one stuck to the aluminum ridge of the door frame and the other fuzzy piece. Hope that makes sense.

TV change
My 1500 GMC ticked me off, so traded up to a 2500 diesel GMC. Heading out to my deer camp Thursday to play. Can’t wait to tow with overkill.

Awesome ride! Isn’t it super nice to have the time now (retirement) to fully enjoy it?
All the best!

I also had to rework the foam surround gasket on the screen door to close a gap at the bottom forward corner.

That is one of our favorite restaurants when traveling the BRP. I have had many fine meals here on breakfast rides in my motorcycling days.
