Over the Memorial Day weekend I was at Big Bend NP, Texas. It was 105 degrees every day. The trailer got down to 84 but that felt comfortable. I guess when you come in from 105 it would.

Dang Ronnie, it looks like you are right on the lake? Before moving to the mountains of Utah, I lived on Lake Lanier north of Atlanta for 11 years. LOVED it.
Basement looks great and I'm sure it's properly over-engineered!

One is lucky to get a 20 degree differential between outside air temp and inside air temp in an Airstream sitting in the sun.

Hi everyone. I am sure this has been covered before, but I cannot find it with my analogue skills on the computer. I an preparing to do a bearing service on my 2011 23D. I would like to have all the parts on hand prior to pulling a wheel. Can anyone confirm the rear seal part number. My research has lead me to K71-303-00. Also, with great trepidation I throw out the ask for what grease you like best.

Well, ArrBee, I can't answer your question(s), but someone will.
What I can do is welcome you to the 23D clubhouse... it's a great group of people with diverse skills and interest... just what we all need to make our Airstreaming better.
Post often...
Robert

Thanks Robert. I have been reading along with the forum group for a while now. I got some great help from GMFL for my awning install and I have copied a few of your ideas. My personal favourite is the extra counter top on the pullout pantry. That was sheer genious! I will try to post often. Also, nice Porsche! I have a less exotic, but very fun S2000.

New lesson
While I was dewinterizing today, everything worked like it was suppose to....but, my low point hot water drain under the bed was dripping. I have never worked with pex before. I guess we’ll see just what kind of plumber I am! I’m thinking cut just above the valve and simply replace the pipe, valve , elbow and out. What could go wrong?
Do you think this tool will get the job done or do I need something else? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Was it dripping inside the trailer, or was it dripping from the pipe under the trailer?

I have no experience with that kind of PEX crimper, but your local Home Depot likely has a much better tool in their rental department... I know our local HD has them in stock. A better tool, easier to use, and inexpensive.

Many thanks, I love this car! The thing looks - and drives - like it was made this morning... it is perfect in every respect, and that's kind of a mixed blessing. Being number 40 of only 62 made, it has become too valuable to drive (I bought it for its investment potential, anyway). But I love to drive it!
Ah, a S2000, great car for absolutely sure, loves high revs and looks - and handles - beautifully. Congrats!

Rob, it’s dripping from the pipe under the trailer. It didn’t drip last year. I tried opening and closing several times and still leaks. Last year was my first year pumping antifreeze in the lines if your remember I pumped a lot on the ground! I’m pretty sure I opened them and observed pink draining. Maybe I should have left the valves open.
I didn’t know Home Depot rented tools. I’ll check them out tomorrow.

Disreguard this, “Maybe I should have left the valves open.” Then all antifreeze would run out! Duh!

Yep pretty close. Close enough I can get the Airstream and the Lake in the same photo. Steve parked here when he was in town for a few MODS. We love it! Some would ask why we ever want to travel in the Airstream. I tell um we just sometimes have to take a vacation from our vacation

Just finished up replacing the leaking valve. While I had the bed out I installed my version of valve protector.

Great, simple, idea. Yet another mod we shouldn't have to do, but must do thanks to some poor design work on AS's part. The way I shove things in to my compartment, I really need to do something similar.
