Gopher-J,
Like Ronnie (GMFL), I've been wanting to hear from a real world user of the new magic door. Linda and I tried it out at Vogt Airstream when it was first available on the Tommy Bahama 19... we didn't like it at all... way too fiddly and really seemed like a solution in search of a problem. We find that for any need for more room or privacy in the toilet/shower, the folding "according" door works perfectly.
Anyway, having said all that, I hope that with more use, the new door becomes easier for you. I can only imagine what it would cost to convert it to the diagonal door... heck, we were just quoted $611 for an Airstream "Flip up shelf" (in Corian) for the kitchen countertop... yeah, that's gonna happen 😯 And I thought car parts were pricey!

23cb bathroom door
Gopher John,
Congratulations on the purchase! We love our 23cb (despite some current problems with the refrigerator).
Just hang in there before changing that bathroom door. Neither I nor my husband are tall, but even our knees hit the doors that don't flex. Although it took us some time to become accustomed to opening and latching the door, we’re now fans. The door gives us space both inside and outside the shower area and we’re very happy with the design.

Noticed today that I have some oily residue coming from one of my shocks on the street side. I must have one of the seals inside the shock leaking.
ADD IT TO THE LIST. Going to need to replace the 4 shocks before our next trip.

Wolf, my 2017 has the same issue. here what I do to get it started. I fire up one of the gas burners on the stove top. Then the fridge seems to fire up fine. Once it fires up, I works fine.
Seems I need to do this each time we go out. Not sure why, maybe it gets the flow going.
Hope this helps.

Gopher John,
Regarding your window question. Mine does the same thing. They used to open the same amount on lowest bar/level. One windy day, the wind forced the window shut while it was open I the first low level. After that it doesn’t open as wide as the other window.
My guess is that the track is plastic and it stretched out a bit, so now it doesn’t open as much.
Regarding your hitching, I’m not sure I follow what you are saying. I will say this, if you put your parking break on, and then try and unhitch it will be tough. Learned this the shard way.

What is the alternative? Leave in in P without the parking brake on? Leave in in Neutral?

WW, we just got back from a week in the Black Hills. The temps were on the cool side, but we did see the 80s a day or two. Ran the fridge on elec the whole time. Had it on propane for the trip out and back (1000 miles each way)
We actually ran out of propane on one tank on the way back. I just flipped the lever between the tanks, and it clicked away until the new tank’s propane arrived, and worked very well after that. I swapped out the fans for a quiet one. Didn’t do any additional mods. Our food stayed cold and frozen stuff stayed frozen. Had the fridge a little over packed for the first time. It was nice not needing to shop for the week.
I’m thinking something isn’t working right on your fridge. Our hot water heater works fine on either LP or AC, but for will over heat. I think wasps got in there and have something wrong with the sensor. Hope you get it solved.
Side note. Ran the new GYEs at 70 psi out and back. No issues at all. Stayed cool and didn’t lose a pound of pressure. No popped rivets or open drawers or cabinets.

I leave in P, chock one trailer wheel with the chocks that go behind wheel and it works fine. No parking break when hitching or unhitching.
I always have trailer chocked until it’s hitched to vehicle.
Thanks.

Love this... made my day!
We'll, I did manage to get out on the water for a bit just before the rains turned the streams into chocolate milk... landed eight using a parachute hopper and royal coachman (managed to limit the number of files "fed to the trees" to only one!). No witnesses, though.... 😯

Sounds good GW. I turned the fridge off for now, but test soon. I've been running a few things attempting to run the batteries down... in 4 days I'm at 92% apparently need to turn more things on. Maybe the panels are getting a little sun... better turn on the SCC as well.
I am taking a little solo trip soon and will have more Airstream time.
I have decided to run my 14" D rated GYEs at 60 psi. I filled them and got the TPMS on and they have not lost any in about 2 weeks. I still don't have covers, but I 303'd 'em.

Thanks! rob, that’s a great day on the water and dry fly to boast!
I made my 1/2 sofa bed spacers and used them for 4 days. Awesome! Used the router table for the first time. So easy, can’t believe I waited this long to ha e this tool. Thanks for the guidance on that.
Also, while camping this past weekend the wife was working the kitchen and said “ I wish we had a little more counter space over to the right!”
Well, I showed her your mod, and no I know what I’ll be making next! Lol.
Happy camping... and fishing

The 23D thread
Chock the trailer. Unlock the coupler latch. Disconnect umbilical and breakaway cable. Disconnect WD bars if equipped. One person in the tow vehicle driver’s seat, foot firmly on the service brake, tranny in neutral or park.
Raise the tongue jack just enough to take weight off the hitch ball, then tell driver to get off brake. Raise the tongue a bit more, then gently rock tow vehicle forward or backward until the ball releases. Raise tongue to clear ball. Move tow vehicle clear. Takes longer to write it than to do it.
With a ProPride or Hensley, just chock wheels, take the vertical strain off the head with the tongue jack, disconnect umbilical cable and breakaway cable. Unlatch stinger, and pull away gently. Done.

Not sure if you guys saw Bruce’s post or not, but we all need to check this and make sure we have support. I’m going to add some HD closed cell spray foam for bedding my water heater in.

Ronnie,
I’m very glad you brought my problem to this outstanding 23D “think-tank”.
Probably a dumb question but does your solution necessitate total removal of the hw heater so you can wrap it in the thin plastic?
Thanks again for your help and guidance.

Bruce,
Unfortunately it’s a problem many would not be aware “could” happen if any.
I’ve never seen it before but it could happen and cause MAJOR problems so it’s worth insection every now and then. Or in my case over killing.
Now as far as the plastic, ( I’m thinking a piece of trash bag cut it size).
No I will not be removing the water heater.
Should be able to just lift the heater slightly and slide the plastic in between my existing wood support and the tank. The plastic is just there to prevent the closed cell spray foam from sticking to the tank so that future removal will not be encumbered.
