Aluminum Flashing used as wall covering ?? opinions ?

does anyone have an opinion about using 20 wide aluminum flashing as a kind of "metal wallpaper" ? i wanted to cover the bottom half of my rear bathroom, incuding shower with rolled aluminum sheeting overlapped and riveted in place. taking full precautions to seal everything. It seems easier to handle on curves and I can buy 50 feet for $42 at lowes or Home Depot. I was thinking I would wax it to keep it shiny

I did the same in my bathroom. Well sort of. I covered the two bulkhead walls and the black tank with that material in my bathroom. Keep in mind those are flat surfaces. It worked well enough in my application but honestly its not the the best to use.

I would not repeat would not attempt to use this on any curve. The material is too thin and will not lie down properly. I think you will be disapointed if you try it that way. It will buckle and look like hell.

You can buy the good stuff at Vintage trailer or others. If you want it to look processional thats what Ide do. Your mileage may vary.

Good luck.

I also used this only on flat surfaces as wallpaper in my 63 Tradewind. It worked pretty good and looks great. I used a combination of silicone and rivets to attach it to the walls.
