Life in the Slow Lane - Vancouver, BC Canada

Todays goal was to get to Vancouver, BC, and our Campground. Yes, we did drive though the Highway thru Hell.

We could see what they were talking about. It is extremely scenic. Much of it is elevated with steep drop offs on the side. The speed limits are very high, in our opinion. That is saying a lot considering how the hubs usually likes to drive. He might have done a little bit of wishful thinking as the cars whizzed past us. We decided the real problems arise in the winter...

The drive from Valemount was very scenic. We followed a river the whole way and there were many vistas to see. Turns out we were on the Yellowhead Highway and not the highway thru hell. It was a bit challenging because the speeds for regular cars was the highest we had seen. We maintained our 65mph.

Once we got set up in our campsite we went to explore the town. We were looking for a place to eat. The news had said the town had received an exceptional amount of rain and hadflooded...

Life in the Slow Lane - Jasper Day 2

This day we spent exploring Jasper National Park. We had a knew outlook on the road construction between Jasper and Valemount.

We don't have satellite so we have been at the mercy of cable or antennae offerings. It hasn't been bad and we landed on a show called Highway thru Hell. It is about big rig wrecker drivers who work along a certain highway in Canada.

Anywho, in one of the episodes they show the road construction crews working. They have two guys hanging...
