81,846 Miles Later
|
Description |
In 2006, a couple of years after my '67 Overlander was woken from its 22 year slumber, I purchased new, loaded axles from Inland Andy. My Airstream appeared to benefit from the purchase. Tons of fun memories over the years. Although the coach's tires are replaced every six years or so the brakes were only checked through the inspection hole in the back. Until today. 81,846 miles later, after removing the drums since the tires were removed for replacement, I was happy to see that all was good even though it was best to replace the brakes. Etrailer's new loaded backing plates & seals will arrive in a couple of days. In the mean-time I will start remembering how I used to clean & repack bearings! Here's to another chapter in my Overlander's life! |
