    Hi,
    Thank you,
1976 Cadillac rated to tow up to 7000lbs, always good to stay at least 1000lbs under any maximum. My 1971 Airstream is 4900lb empty, 5300lbs with items. I have a Hensley Hitch system. It's big and heavy, but there is a newer lightweight model available. Tires are Michelin high quality normal tires. Airstream tires are different. New Axles, modern electric brakes, and 16" instead of 15" diameter gave me better....(safer) tire choices. Michelin E rated 225 75 r16
Still 1961-1976 cadillacs had the same suspension and steering so it's an old car with vague road feedback. Fine for careful 60-65 mph driving, but extra careful to avoid any emergency maneuvers. Coker Tires.com offers correct original tires, not sure how the quality is, price is up there per tire. Hope this helps.

    Hi
    nice setup..

how does caddy handle the hitch weight ?

i have a Cadillac 1959 and a 1969 Overlander 27", and i think it's too soft in the rear end, i have just changed my withwalls tires(4ply) to 8 ply and it helped a lot, but i really miss my whitewalls...
    what have you done ?

    Regards
    Peter
