So I am looking at putting the new Lexan windows back into my '48 and have come up with a problem. After looking on the Vintage Trailer Supply page for window gaskets https://www.vintagetrailersupply.com...skets-s/26.htm it does not have the same gasket I am needing. I have done a couple other searches and came up empty their as well. I have found several people who have replaced their front or rear windows, and where they got the Lexan or Plexi, but nothing on the gasket.

As expected my gaskets are 70 years old and broke apart when I pulled them out. I was able to put a strait cut in one of the pieces to give me some reference points, but just cannot find a matching gasket. Anybody have any leads on this? Thanks.

I have a 2010, and the gaskets are shrinking and want to replace them. I have purchased three different sizes, and all to small in diameter. I notice a wax paper kind of material also in the channel. Was this used as a shim?
I have thought of using window putty in small dabs to secure the lexan, any ideas?

In case you missed it this was in the 1947-1949 Liner forum. But you might look here for something that might apply.

I have recently started to research this as well for our 48 and I found a thread not long ago that referenced Restoration Specialties and Supply on the internet. If I remember correctly the posters name was “Bomans”. The Poster stated that they had purchased part number “ 706a-WS “ or “706b-WS” ,I cant recall which, and it was a close match.

The website is restorationspecialities.com and the gasket used by “Bomans” was a 706A. He was installing it on a 1950 Liner. You can search his name and the information can be found in their restoration blog. He did state that the company sent several samples to try so he was able to select the correct profile. He also stated that it is a rear window seal from 1950 Chrysler and Ford automobile. Hope this helps your search!
