Yeah the demonstration of the tankless water heater at about 30 minutes in shows him having to run about a gallon of water before the hot water kicks in. “Endless” hot water (until the propane tanks run dry that is) But wasting that much water is going to be killer for Boondockers, unless they capture that cold water each time they turn on the Spicket. Also, it looks like there’s no way to heat the water with electricity which is much cheaper and easier when on shore power than heating it with propane.

Wonder if there’s an option to put a conventional RV Water heater in the 2021 models.

I wasn't sure if you HAD to keep the water running while it heats up. Or at least you could turn it down to a dribble. I like the regular water heater!

IIRC, the conventional water heater also has some lag time. I would say maybe 1/2 gallon give or take. I am uncertain how much energy savings there may be with an RV tankless vs conventional. Sure the conventional will run more, but my guess is at lower BTU?

There may be 50lbs less in water weight unless that is offset my more hardware needed to heat the water on the fly.

Any type of water waste when boondocking is rough.

It is nowhere near a gallon. My shower heats up in about 35 seconds same water heater.
