1954 Airstream Flying Cloud 21 - Kansas

Up for sale is our we purchased fully restored 3 years ago with the intent of traveling in it. it s registered as a 1952 but have been told it s probably a 1954.

We purchased it in Arizona fully and beautifully restored, towed it back to our new/vintage home in Kansas with only a stop overnight at a rest area and have stored it ever since. This beauty needs to be traveled in and enjoyed to it's full potential, which we don't see that happening in our near future. We wanted one fully restored as we didn't want to spend the time doing it. Even transporting it to our home the attention and gawking was endless. Here are the details that we received when we purchased it is exactly the same excellent condition minus us replacing the kitchen cushion covers, curtains and bedding as it didn't match our vintage style.

originally restored by Texas Vintage Trailers in New Braunfels, Tx

the is super functional with table in front that converts to a bed, kitchen and bathroom with shower and toilet, double bed/bedroom in the back.

"American Standard" porcelain sink, pull out sprayer, "Wedgewood Vision" 2 burner cooktop, "Domestic" 2 way refrigerator.

: "Sealand" porcelain toilet, "Delta" adjustable shower.

A lot of modern upgrades to make it user friendly, keeping just enough of the original fixtures to preserve the charm and character we love. Updated exterior lightening and wiring, with modern 7 round plug, new safety chains, and a new "haul master" electric hitch jack with light, polished aluminum wheels, Contender" ST 205/75R15 load range E trailer tires installed before we bought it as well. Has a "Kenwood" AM/FM/CD radio with 4 Sony speakers.

Therm X Caravan Mark ll Catalytic heater. Original roof vents they replaced with "Fan tastic" even fans, modern 30 amp servicer with locking plug and 30 amp cord, Parallax" power supply, convertor/charger, 12 volt power supply DC charger , 2 polished LP tanks with upgraded LP pressure regulator and hoses, updated approx 30 gallon fresh water tank with front fill, separate 20 gallon grey and black water tanks, "valterra" waste gate and set hook ups. ABS/PVCplumbing, PEX water supply lines with valves and shut offs, "Atwood G6A 8E 6 gallon LP/electric ignition water heater with flow jet water pump.

: Coleman 47004B879 Hp 15kBtu heat pump/AC unit. There was nothing wrong with the one it came with, we just wanted a low profile/black one that was more fitting for it. We also purchased 2 new spare tires that are included.

"Tobacco Trail Acacia" hand scraped engineered hard wood flooring throughout, polished interior walls so much better than painted , cherry cabinetry, custom shelving and an amazing amount of storage/hidden storage throughout. All glass is good shape, windows function as they should, exterior door step slides smooth and it has modern BAL stabilizers as well.

Whomever did the restoration was a craftsman with a great deal of time and money invested in it. It is a solid little gem and we have never had any leaks or concerns about any part of it since we've owned it. Our only concern is that we aren't restorers, so we did our due diligence studying up on restored airstreams and what to look for and never looked back purchasing it.

Sleeps 4 small people! The front converted bed measures 42" x 77", perfect for small children, or one adult. Bed in back measures 50" x 84" with a new custom mattress. Still brand new since we never used it!

It towed great with our V 6 Tacoma and our new 2.7 Bronco. We felt comfortable towing it with both, even if it was just transporting home or moving it to our storage. I know, sad, right?

We loved it day one and was exactly what we wanted, until we moved and had little time to travel with it properly. It's a gem.
