Airstream Safari 25 SS Year 2004
We’ve owned this Airstream since 2013 and have greatly enjoyed travelling in it and visiting the wonderful parks and cities of Canada and US. Prior to our purchase, we did extensive research on size and types of travel trailers, and decided that AS was, and still is, the one with the best quality build, interior finish, and most efficient layout – not to mention the iconic design style. We found that 25 ft is the optimal for stays of moderate durations: With the Safari 25, we tow it with our mid-size SUV; it tows easily and you don’t need a special towing vehicle. It’s a perfect setup. We typically use our AS (we name it Milkyway) for a month or two each year; we maintain it carefully and it is in very good condition. Everything works! Includes many accessories needed for RV’ing. Full documentation. Selling due to changing lifestyles.
Upgrade/services under our ownership include:
- A complete, thorough inspection by one of the biggest AS dealers in Canada. Re-caulked rooftop. Added ventilation hood covers. New tires (run under 10,000 miles since). Changed interior lights to LED.
- New battery. 2 x 40W solar panels. battery charger. On sunny days we can go boondoggle for days if needed.
- Repacked bearings; brake inspection; replaced all tire valve stems with stainless stems. Replaced water-heater circuit board.
- Applied Walbernize sealant/polisher at least once a year.
