1979 Airstream Excella 28 - Ohio

Title: 1979 Airstream Excella 28 - Ohio
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

1979 Airstream 28’ Excella motorhome for sale.
This classic motorhome drives very well, engine runs strong, transmission shifts smoothly, wind and road noises are very low, and the heat and air work great! All of the coach/house systems work very well as most of the appliances (to include heaters, furnace, refrigerator, generator, A/C, stove, water) have been either replaced with new or refurbished. It is very road worthy and ready for any camping that you may wish to do.
We have owned this motorhome for over three years and have spent many thousands of dollars and an enormous amount time and work on it. Everything is in working order, from all of the mechanicals to everything inside the coach. The work on it has been quite extensive, from front to back, inside to outside, top to bottom. At this point there are very few things that have not been replaced, repaired, altered, adjusted, cleaned, gone through, or tuned up! As we completed the necessary repairs and replacements, the inside of the coach was thoroughly cleaned and all gaps, holes, and seams were sealed
This Airstream motorhome has the center bath floor plan. It has rear twin beds and a forward couch/dinette that folds flat into a double bed.
This model is powered by a Chevy 454 gasoline motor with less than 81,000 miles. The coach rides on an Airstream modified Chevrolet P30 truck chassis that is in very good condition. Of course the skin is all aluminum; however, the steel frame and steel storage boxes are rust free and rock solid. The aluminum body shell is straight and in very good overall condition. There are a couple of small creases on the upper rear corners (see pictures). The clear coat finish is showing some signs of wear that is consistent with being 34 years old.
The engine runs comfortably at 190 degrees and pulls well on the highway. Consistently it has had good oil pressure and uses very little oil. The motor does have a slight knock; however it doesn’t seem to cause any problems.
The generator has less than 460 hours and has been completely serviced and runs very well (see below).

Repairs, parts replaced, and conditions of different items are listed below. The work on our Airstream was done over a three year period. The list is very long, as we have done an enormous amount of work so far!
