Title: 1977 Airstream
Sovereign 31 - Florida
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
I have for sale a very solid 31’ 1977 airstream
sovereign, with clear title in hand! I gutted the interior down to the frame and also removed the belly pan. I then had a welder come in and assess the frame, then he strengthened it accordingly and applied a rust converter in addition to rust preventative coating. I have replaced the entire subfloor with ½” PT plywood and had 3 tanks custom made and installed to fit in the gap between the subfloor and belly pan so you don't lose ceiling height in the bathroom! This airstream also had 4 new tires installed in 2017, the body is in good shape and so is the tongue. The zip-dee awnings all work but the large one on the door side needs stitching between panels. In 1977 the upper vista view windows were double paned with a layer of UV protection between, over time the UV sheet turns to flakes subsequently clouding the window. I have fixed this issue on all 3 upper vista view windows by taking out the inner pane then resealing them. I have all of the original screens for the windows and hatches, belly pan pieces (with banana wraps) for templates, and a few more original pieces that I can’t remember at this moment. The wheel wells are currently boxed in with plywood.
I am a builder by trade and I started this remodel with the intention of living in it as a first home for me and my wife. Recently we have been blessed with an awesome house that is in need of a complete remodel so I have shifted focus to the house, as we can grow our family into a house better than the airstream.
Really this airstream has had all of the hard dirty work done, it is ready for you to fully customize into your DREAM AIRSTREAM.
