2" hitch for bike rack

Anyone ever see one of these? Came on my new to me trailer. I removed it based on posts I've read on these forums.

The first thread linked above concerns a roll-over wreck in Quebec, and although the thread is long, it makes for a good read IMO. If you look carefully at the photos, you can just make out a hitch receiver similar to yours.

Yup. Good to take the weight off the tail. You're just asking for problems if you weigh down the tail.
