1967 Trade Wind Water Heater Cover

It's been so long since I took the water heater cover off that I can't remember if the perimeter was riveted or screwed onto the main body of the trailer. I think it was screws but a search of this forum and Vintage Airstream's photo archives doesn't have a closeup of the original cover with a closeup so I could determine. Some pictures appear to have rust trails on the cover which would lead me to the screw conclusion.

What should I be using?

I just looked at a post I'd made a while back when I took the cover off, and there was a picture with rivets...

I'd still like to know what is correct.

Thanks,
Wayne
