polishing

I am a new to Airstream ... just purchased a 2018 Flying Cloud 25FB ... first trip went well ... switched after 10 years of driving RV ...

... how do I keep the outside clean and shiny? Unfortunately there are birds in my neighborhood ... and I want to keep it nice form the get-go. Any advice?

Thanks ...

If you did not have it nano sealed, you need to keep it clean, sealed and regularly waxed. Wax boils off, so keep the elbow in operation. One story is about the fellow who got out and waxed any time traffic stopped for road work, an accident, to take a break and similar. Dedication, or at least twice yearly application of a good quality wax is the deal. Remove bird stuff and bugs immediately. Inspect often. The spray cleaners are good to do spot cleaning.

Also, get a clear coat repair pen. The finish will get scratched. Repair the scratch immediately and then get wax back on that section of clear coat. The clear coat is good stuff. It goes on when the aluminum is manufactured. The edges and cuts are not coated so give them special attention when waxing.

Good luck with your new coach. A shiny gives lots of smiles. Pat

Edit - polishing and waxing are different processes. You do not generally want to polish your new coach, unless the clear coat gets really, really scratched and swirled. Research detailing before you start.
