Post Newbie

My wife and I just bought our first AS. A 1970 Safari. It didn't come with a manual and we basically know nothing about the various systems. I will be busy asking questions in the various forums, but if anyone has diagrams for the electrical, plumbing and propane, I would be very grateful.

We live in Oak Harbor, Ohio for now but will soon be moving to Florida, the Cocoa area. I'm frantically trying to get all the systems functioning properly.

This is a wonderful site. A warm hello to all of you who make this site what it is.

Thumbs up Congratulations

Welcome...

I have a '71 Safari, so maybe I can help if you have some specific questions.

I also have a website listed below of a lot of the work I have done on mine.

May be helpful to browse it.

Thumbs up Thanks

Yep, it's been quite a ride getting this thing fixed up. As I have said before, I thought I was going to be an RV'er and ended up being a restorer

No changes in the poslishing yet. Ran out, more should be here today. But family stuff and Halloween will keep me away from it until at least Saturday....

SSHADOW.

Suggest you call Helen Davis at 937-4928885, for a "service manual."

The clostest she can get to your 1970, is a 1973. For most part the trailers from 70 to 73 are identical.

If you want to do some of the repairs yourself, you will find that e manual will repay you many times over.

It tells you the hows and whys, along with part numbers. The part numbers are obsolete, but can be converted to the new numbers.

Thanks

I really appreciate the responses. Still havn't figured out the tail light, but Tim, your site is great. I'm ordering the manual, but in the meantime, if anyone has a electrical print on file that they would be willing to share, I'm at sshadow9648@yahoo.com.
