I was 50 & it was 10 years ago we purchased our '61 Overlander. It was just time to get out of a tent and we wanted to keep camping with our sons. It was my wife who wanted a vintage Airstream. Five years ago I opened an Airstream dealership. Now 10 years later I have a restored '75 Argosy 20' MH & a restored '55 Flying Cloud. Purchasing the Overlander that was for sale here on Airforums turned out to be a great decision!!

We got our first rv. GMC when I was 33. 2nd GMC when I was40 and our 345 when I was 53. Now we got that 325 from Maryland with 5420 miles on it. I got a lot of time in on it this summer. We were going to get it all spiffed up and sell it. BUT...
I m getting very fond of it. And I got a ton of money in it. So if we decided to buy another, I'd have to do the same thing to it. NOT. So. It s time to get ready for next years camping season. Be on the lookout for a very sweet looking 325 . We are out of Wisconsin.

35 and my wife was 31... Hoping to show our little ones the country (6 and 4, both girls). I hate flying and we travel a lot so they've already seen a lot of it!

My wife and I tent camped for years when our children were little (and we were poor). We bought our first Airstream (vintage) when I was 50. Tent camping is for young familes.

3. Yep. T. H. R. E. E. My grandparents purchased their 1973 soverign. They were the second owner. I camped in it all the time (my grandparents raised me) it was my playhouse as a kid. And when I got married at 26, it was my wedding gift. Soooo.... when did I get it? 26. But we have been together since I was 3... lol

I was 67 and she was 63 in October of 2012 when we acquired a 2013 25FB International Serenity. We traded it in on an ordered 2014 31' Classic in the summer of 2013 and the trailer was built in January of 2014. The crazies hit and we acquired our 2015 23D International Serenity in July of 2015.

The Classic is spending the summer on our lot at Ponderosa Shadows, an Airstream only RV park in Show Low, AZ, as our cottage and we take the 23D out on short trips in the four corners area.

Bravo

Cazual6, nice job stepping up to the plate. Wow 37. I can't even remember being 37.

We bought ours in 2009 just after I turned 58. I retired the next summer, still 58. The wife and I are basically the same age but I will not say which one is slightly older. Like someone on this forum has said, "My plan is to live forever and so far it is working!"

For my wife's 50th birthday she asked me to take her tent camping.
For her 51st birthday, we bought our 27 yr old Avion. I'm 56.

Camped extensively as a kid with the family and got my first trailer in my early forties, but WE got our Airstream! when it was a yearling. It is going strong and we're enjoying the retirement checks that have been arriving for well over a decade.

55, and a good thing we did in 2014. Our International is only 11 years old; I'm the one needing repairs! Where's the ageforums.com?

But yeah, Sea Level... I agree 100%.

We tent camp, then we glamp, then rented an RV, straight to trailer. I feel I still have a long way to go, being on this forum and being part of this community helps me get a grasp of how much I really need to learn. As you can see by ages here, there are a lot of life lessons to held here. Thank you all.

Newly married. 27 bought a like new used1979 25FB. Bought a new 2012 25FB. The 79 was better. Sold the 2012 and bought a 2015 Bunk. The GS service dog has her own room now. Life is riveting. 😄
