Kwickee step motor/controller issues

Hi all,

Has anyone ever easily been able to determine which model Kwikee Step/Motor combo is installed? I presume the entire thing was a retrofit for mechanical steps. They still make parts and rebuild kits. It's on my Classic 345 M/H.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I went through this a few years back. I talked to Kwikee and they claimed my steps were too old and the new motor and controller would not work, and I would have to buy a whole new step package. I took a chance and bought a motor/gearbox from and outfit on eBay. Not only did it work but it used the same mounting holes. I had to figure out the wiring, but it saved me about $650. Dan,

Thanks for the link. I will have to check out the eBay versions of the motor/controller. It looks as though the previous owner had changed out a little bit of the gearbox, motor, controller and I MAY be able to get replacement parts from Kwikee. It has been acting up since I bought the A/S in 2017.
