Which shocks?

I hitched up the Basecamp to my 99 'Burb to take her for a 10 mile tow (gotta keep those tires round) and found that I need new shocks. Not that I mind feeling like I'm traveling with dolphons, but she does porpoise a LOT and I'm not a fan of losing my lunch!

Anyway, what shocks would ya'll recommend for a 99 1/2 ton 'Burb?

KONI, if available, BILSTEIN if not. You might also look to replacing the anti-roll bar bushings (with polyurethane). The combination will surprise you. Also, look for slop in steering gear and linkages.

I do not know about Knoi but have used Bilstein in my Burb for years. Thats years of use per set not changing them ever years like most domestic shocks.

Checking the Koni website, they don't offer a rear shock for the 99, Bilstein has both front & rear available.

I wound up putting in a set of KYB Gas-A-Just Shocks in the 'Burb. Fantastic ride, no more "riding with Flipper" with a trailer behind me.

I put Bilsteins in my 96 3/4 ton Burb and noticed a real difference in handling. I want to replace the shocks in my 08 F250 but Bilstein doesn't make them yet.
