Jeep Gladiators are the most modifiable tow vehicles in existence. Engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axles, suspensions, cooling systems...if you have the money, it can be done.

The one at the southernmost point? Yeah, that's an insane opportunity.

You can get it easily at night all by itself, but during the day is tricky. I just happened to nail it on a Tuesday after Fantasy Fest - when all the tourists had gone home.

I also got it at Hemingway's home.

The most important rule when towing...

"If it can pull a Twinkee, it can pull an Airstream." 😉

Cool

I sold my Gladiator in July. It was a Rubicon 2020 with the 7000# tow rating. It had 1198 pounds of payload. With the tongue weight of 600 to a lot more of an A/S, I couldn’t figure out how it was going to work on a big trip hauling a lot of stuff. I loved the Gladiator, it was a cool vehicle. I bought a 2023 Ford F250 superduty and while I don’t love it…. In every single measurable way it is better than the Gladiator, except the cool factor. The wife is happier, because it is way quieter and more comfortable. Sigh…. good luck. Love the Jeep, just can’t think of a way to justify it pulling a trailer half the year. Weekends near home, awesome. Traveling the USA, not really.

Gladiator - Towing a 23FB

I have towed a 23FB for about 14,000 miles to date. I have the MaxTow package on my Gladiator - 7650 lbs towing and 1565 lbs of payload. I have been to many a CAT scale and am right at the payload limits, but below axle ratings with a full tank and loaded for camping. The trailer has towed well up and down the east coast (Maine to Key West - I live in PA). The only time I had any real issues was in the ‘mountains’ of W. Va. The engine - to make the necessary torque - was running high RPMs (as designed) to pull up those. If I lived out west or somewhere that was more hilly than the east coast, I believe I would need more of a truck. But for what we have done to date, the Gladiator tows very well.
