Thumbs up Bilstein Shocks on Tow Vehicle

I ordered and installed a set of Bilstein Heavy duty B6 series shocks on the front and rear of my TV. At first I could not tell much of a difference between the OEM shocks and the new Bilteins because driving unloaded, the front still seemed to bounce more than I expected after a dip in the road. The rear was more compliant though. I was expecting a single bounce at most. Ride was improved slightly, a little more smoother but hard to tell without a direct comparison.

After towing the AS I was really happy with the results. I was getting alot of see-saw action from the trailer that made the front of the truck bounce repeatedly. You couldn't drink from an uncovered cup! The load leveling hitch has 1000 lb bars adjusted to the middle link. While towing I did not feel ANY see-saw action from the trailer at all. Also, with a 1000 lb load in the bed the truck handled great and did not bounce after a bump. The trade off is a little harsher ride with a load. I suspect that firming up the rear helped control the bounce.

Overall, the set of 4 shocks cost $250 but it was well worth it and I recommend it to others.
