Smoke Detector alarming with moisture?
I have a Kidde Kitchen smoke detector mounted within inches of my ceiling just before entering the side corner bedroom of my '86 Sovereign. It has the hush feature in case it alarms while using the kitchen appliances. It is marked 2004 and has only alarmed twice before. It did it once when the campfire smoke got rather thick and the fans pulled smoke in and then once when I was cooking something in the frying pan.
Lately I found it alarming early in the morning during a high humidity situation where it rained the evening before. I replaced the battery thinking maybe it was low. It did it several weeks later during the same high humidity situation early in the morning. There was heavy dew on the grass both times. Is the detector picking up moisture droplets that are being drawn inside the trailer and pulled past the detector on the way out the rear bedroom Fantastic Fan? I'm just curious if anyone has had a similar experience.
