Lafer Recliner $$$
I really want to remodel my 25FB - and I love the look of the Lafer Recliners - but I am really reluctant to spend that kind of money.
Lafer Kiri Ergonomic Recliner
Anyone ever find a nice quality streamlined recliner for less than this one - $1700!!!!

We picked up a pair of them on Ebay for $1000,.......however I honestly can't recommend the Lafers. We have the Kiri's, and I do like the leg support and I like how flat it gets for napping, however, the reclining mechanism is really substandard. It doesn't work anywhere close to the effortless Ekornes chairs. The leather used is high quality, but it needs more padding, especially behind your head and under your feet and legs. The padding is so thin at your feet that you easily feel the sharp edge of the support mechanism. At best, the Lafer is unrefined. I wouldn't purchase them again. If I were looking again, I'd look for a wall hugger recliner with leg lift. We have some pretty good Flexsteel recliners at home and that would probablly be where we would look when it comes time to replace the Lafers.
We had the Ekornes chairs before the Lafers, but couldn't get used to the Ekornes ottomans. They always seemed too low and uncomfortable for our legs compared to other chairs we've tried. The Ekornes chairs are great, and would be better with a good leg support mechanism.
We're not really campers, we're tourists. We aren't into campfires etc. and prefer a really comfortable recliner to kick back and watch a good movie on DVD. We could spend as much as 6 hours a day in a recliner, weather dictated, so comfort is most important. Recliners and mattresses are two places worth getting good products.
These look interesting: http://www.chairenvy.com/products/pc095.html

Thanks for the heads up. I'm trying to avoid something with a separate ottoman. I have a 25 and that's just too much floorspace to use.

I recommend Ekornes, but I agree that the ottomans are too low for optimal comfort. However, the company does make an optional special fitted and matching riser that go underneath the ottomans that may help with the ottoman height. Ekornes has different kinds of Stressless chairs, so try before you buy.
