Kitchen wallpaper

Has anyone pulled the wood backer board down in the kitchen behind the sink. Trying to figure out what's behind it. I have a 90 32 ft excella. Trying to decide wether to pull the board down or just the paper while I have the counter top off.

I removed mine and behind it is the same as the rest of the interior walls, I replaced it with aluminum but I also had the upper and lower cabinet out.

That looks the way I feel right now. Used my harbor freight sagittal saw to trim allmost all the way thru the paneling and then pulled it out turned out great but now I have to find some of the vinyl covered wall alum to go around the window since the didn't put it all the way around the window. Got a 3\4 in gap down the right side and upper and lower left corners. I have a friend that passed and his wife lets me dig thru his scrap pile so I might find some there. He sold used airstreams and prob went thru 15 or 20 trailers a year.
