Adding wall and ceiling insulation
I am slowly adding some more insulation to my 71. I will be using a combination of stryrofoam and Reflectix inside the closets and cabinets and a combination of Reflectix insulation covered with silver upholstery vinyl on exposed walls and ceiling*.
Attached is a photo of the Reflectix in the overhead lockers. It looks brown because it reflects the inside or the locker. I tried spray adhesive which either (depending on the brand) does not stick or sticks instantly not giving you any working time. So far the best adhesive I have found is Weldwood Contact Cement. I will post my progress. Hopefeully this will keep a little more warm in and cold out, or cold in and hot out, as the weather outside calls for
My other photo shows snow melts fast over the areas without the Reflectix but slower in the areas covered with Reflectix. I got the Reflectix at Home Depot. It's relatively inexpensive.
I will add photos as the project progresses.
