with leaves rattling on the trees, it's time to plan a coverup

Hello,

Last September, 2017, I acquired the '95 AS and had just enough time to stop the major leaks. Since then I've got it completely sealed and the frame rustproofed and the subfloor repaired. Now I'm thinking about winter coverup. I had in mind to cover it with a tarp that is anchored (somehow) to the metal roll awning covers. Has anybody done this, and developed a fastening system to do it?

I thought about extending the awnings, and then close them again with some 2-3 ft long webbing strips rolled in with the awning fabric to serve as anchor points for a tarp. I've also thought about making bowed PVC supports to keep the tarp off the roof surface. The bows would be wedged against the metal awning cover roll.

Is this a nutty idea?

Welcome Aboard!! 👍

Ok...it's sealed and has no leaks. Why not put it on stands and leave it out.
Do you plan to strip & polish?
