1961 Astrodome

I need to remove the screen in my 1961 Astrodome. But to do that I need to remove the lifter knobs. I''ve forgotten how to do this. do they unscrew counter clockwise?

Mine just pop off. They are held on by a sprung ball bearing that fits into a groove in the knob.

(Posted this on the other thread also).

Just pull the lifter knobs straight down. There is a very small nipple in there that helps it stay on. Firm, straight down, gentle and they should let go.
