My lower door hinge pin (07 Bambi) seems to protude after a few hundred road miles. It is easily tapped back down, and I now look at every gas stop, but I am wondering what the preferred fix would be..
I found both loctite, center punching, and updated hinge pin in the search. Anyone have the part number for the newer model hinge pin ?
The thirty cent fix is to drive the pin back down and drill a #30 hole from front to rear of the hinge through the hinge front, pin, and partway through the back of the hinge.
Tap a 1/2" 1/8" roll pin into the hole, and put a dab of Parbond in the hole to prevent the roll pin from rusting.

Another way to fix is to order the hinge pin that has a groove cut to allow an E-clip after the pin is inserted. There is a good YouTube of an airstream dealer replacing the old pins with the new ones. It worked great on our 2003 Bambi. There are many previous post on this problem. Do your self a big favor and just get the new pins.
