Unable to use BluRay Player

I went to use the Bluray player this weekend but could not get a picture on the TV. When I went to connect it to the TV via the source button a message came up stating there was no HDMI cable connected. I have not had this happen before so I was wondering what the fix might be.
Any suggestion for a fix is greatly appreciated.

Hmmm - not sure but did you check the backs of the blueray and TV to see if the hdmi cable came loose at either end?

It does sound like a connection issue. To get to the connector/splitter behind the bluray, you need to take the front cover off. Don't lose the screws.

I will take the cover off today and check the back for loose connections. I hope it is just that but if not I guess I will have to trouble shoot the wires in back of the radio and that is not fun.

I don't know the distance your TV is from your BluRay player is but if you find that the existing HDMI cable is securely connected at both ends, you could attempt to try a different HDMI cable. Other thoughts would be if you have a home BluRay player you could try it on the TV in the trailer, or if you have a small HD TV at home, you could try it in the trailer. Doing these can pretty much isolate the problem to the cable, TV or the player.

I have double checked the cable am and now wondering if I have a bad hook up in the back where all of the wires are located. The reason why is that the connection with the green lite goes very dim after it is plugged into the 120 outlet. It is only bright for less then a second.

I called Jacksonville and they told me what to look for in the birdsnest. I found that the HDMI cable was disconnected from the splitter box. I assume it came loose from the rough roads when I went to MA and NH this summer. It is now reconnected and our grandchildren will be happy.

John, cool! I'm glad it was pretty easy. I've got my AS at the dealer now. We can't get one tele to play BluRay, and the other to pickup cable/air, without disconnecting the HDMI from the set where we want to play cable/air. Jackson Center and Samsung couldn't figure it out.

While I am ragging on warranty stuff, I'm also having the shower door repaired for the 4th time. Grrrrr!

Was just going to say splitter box. Glad I read all posts first. Happened to me and with splitter box under the blue ray shelf, it was easy enough to reconnect with just front cover plate removal. I noticed that connection for that 2nd TV was very loose. Hardly any friction holding it connected. Will not be surprised to lose connection again.

Just picked up the AS today, and believe it or not, the TVs function as advertised. Apparently there was a loose connection behind the BlueRay that was just enough to disable selecting video on one set, and cable on the other.

And, off topic. It appears that the shower door works without tearing the drip seal off. We'll see if it stays fixed.

The HDMI cables came loose from our splitter box on four consecutive trips until I found the fix. I loosely attached a zip tie around the end of each HDMI cable to form a loop. I then looped a longer zip tie around the splitter box and through the HDMI loops on each end. I then tightened the zip tie around the splitter box thus cinching the cables tight. No problems 6 months later.

Excellent, and so simple. Will do just that when it happens again.
