Marker Lights ...

What seal should I use on top of new marker lights? Vulkem? Sikaflex? Parabond?

In searching the forum, I think each of them has been used for nearly everything. Is there a general rule to follow for the use of each?

The Vulkem I ordered had a rather grainy texture which started to crumble a year later. ParBond seemed easy to apply along the top side of rub rails but seemed to crack in numerous places after a year. I've been happy with Silkaflex but it has only been 8 months since I put it on the trailer. It seems to have kept its rubber-like property.

Funny. I had better luck searching for Sikaflex spelling on Google than I did searching the forum on Marker lights.

Google provided me this thread....

Thank you Andy for the Parabond vote, via Google.
