How to remove ceiling lights and fix noise when AC/heat pump is on

Hello fellow airstreamers, one of my ceiling lights makes annoying noises anytime when the roof is vibrating caused by AC/heat pump.

Sometime the noise will be gone if I twist the light a little to make it fits tighter. But almost every time, the noise will come back. I suspect someone thing is loose.

I have attached an image of the light that I was referring to.

Thank you in advance!

If it is a metal to metal vibration, I would try something easy and cheap first. Get a flat toothpick and nudge it between the fixturr and the ceiling. Turn on the heat pump and use your ears. Break off the toothpick with the help.of a.razor blade. Figure you'll have to.replace.the toothpick now and then. A piece of scotch tape would probably also work.

Hi Davydliu, There are two parts to the fixture. If the center lens is buzzing, you can use a dull knife to pry the lens out and add something to insulate the glass from the metal or metal to metal, if the its the whole fixture, you can pull it away from the ceiling and put some tooth pick in there as Foiled mentioned. Here's a post describing fixture removal-disassembly for these ceiling fixtures. I got pretty good at pulling the lenses when I upgraded to LED lighting and added frost diffusers to all my ceiling fixtures. - Brad https://www.airforums.com/forums/f44...ml#post2006952
