I just got the new 4-position switch for the bathroom light today and installed it. If you still have the original bathroom light, the switch is made by Leviton, and the model # is 573. I picked it up for $3.49 from my local electrical contractor store. While I'm waiting for the two OEM light covers to come in, I epoxied the old one together and put it back on. The only difference between the new Leviton switch and the old one is that Airstream must have had the knob machined to accept a bigger plastic knob....the new knob is metal and smaller. There is enough material for me to have it machined to accept the old plastic knob cover, so maybe I'll do that one day...I'm just happy the light works again.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't fix something in your rig. For some of us, moving on with life isn't an option. As a purist, I make the most of life and find a solution to the problem! Plus, I just live to prove people wrong when they tell me I can't do something. Sometimes it means cutting my nose off to spite my face, but it's not in my nature to give up. Case in point, my Armstrong A/C has been going strong for 37 years. Two weeks ago, the compressor wouldn't come on. A "certified" RV A/C repair guy came out to diagnose the problem. After two hours of labor, he told me my compressor was shot. I got a second opinion from the campground manager, who is a master electrician (I found this out after I had the tech out). Within 30 seconds he diagnosed the problem as a bad compressor relay. I went to the local electrical contractor store, bought the part and after everything was replaced and buttoned up, the Armstrong fired right up. I'm freezing now! LOL!!!! By the way, I got my money back for the two hours of labor, after the "certified" tech came back out to verify I had fixed it....talk about feeling dumb!
