I added the Hot rod kit and love it. I put a switch under the sink and we have excellent hot water on electric.

following this article, this is a no-brainer for us, rarely boondock so almost always at a campground with power. only issue I can see is keeping track of heatpump, microwave, small electric heater(s), maybe the TV, and the water heater. thinking one at a time for these with the 30amps... looking forward to switching circuits for the best combination of what's on when....

Well it arrived at 2 PM today and was installed by 4 PM, I had already removed everything needed to attach the wires, so it was relatively easy to install. Wired into the microwave breaker, broke into the back of the power box and installed a new romex connector for the wires. Cut the three pin plug off and went into the box. Hot water in 30 minutes may be slower than using propane but at least I will not be using my propane in future, unless connected into the grid or my generator.
Tomorrow I am installing an under the awning set of LED Boogie lights, tapping into the storage cabinets light for power source, so it should be easy. Drilling is an issue, may need a plumbers drill to get in from the outside but am seriously considering of going inside out, the plan is that they will be hidden under the awning when she is rolled up.
Remember chaps, if another man can do it

SO CAN YOU.
