Keep gray tanks from sliding side-to-side

Hello!

I'm following the plans of some others on the forum and mounting my gray tanks with steel "straps" like the photo below.

The only thing that's coming to mind is how do I keep the tanks from sliding side-to-side, like between the main frame rails?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Mine had styrofoam stuffed between them and the frame rails. I dropped the pan and pieces of styrofoam fell down all around. I have put the pieces back up and wedged them in tight.

If your dealing with small gaps, under 3/4", on some or all sides you might want to take a look at this. It a closed cell medium density foam with an adhesive back. It does not compress easily, but does have some give. I used it for some of my tanks that were close to the frame rails. You could also use it above the tanks to take up any slack.

I shot a bunch of canned foam in the voids around the tanks to prevent shifting. Tite foam from Home Depot is a nice dense product for that.

I used some expanded foam packing (not styrofoam). I got it from our IT dept, it's what HP uses to ship their computers. I thought I had pictures of it, but I think my better half has them. I'll post it up later today. Your layout looks just about like mine. I used Roxul and 1" foam board and Reflectix stapled to the floor. Here's a picture of my layout minus the packing on the side of the tanks

Anyway, it's pretty dense and it fits perfect in the channel of the frame.
