Dump Valve

Has anyone ever had the pull rod pull out of the dump valve? If so, can it be re-attached, or do I need a new valve?

If it is the entire rod, including the knob on the end that slips into a notch on the blade itself, you should probably replace it. If it happened once, it will again, usually when the tank is full.

Thank You Massey and Overlander!. This really helped. I found that it was the coupling from the extension rod to the valve rod. Was able to clamp a pair of vise grips onto the valve rod and dump the tank. This was a Major Victory!! Now, I just have to figure out how to re-attach the extension rod. Hoping I can do it with one hand so I won't have to drop the whole pan under the tanks.
Thanks again!!!
And thanks to Bill for the pics.
