replacing fresh water drain valve

I have a new fresh water drain valve for a 05 25' safari. Was told to take the 2 scews out and pull out on valve and disconnect the hose and reconnect it to the new valve and reinstall screws..........so easy.........
Well Ive got the screws out and the valve will spin all the way around but it will not pull out so that I can disconnect from hose......
Any help is greatly appreciated
Dave

ditto

Sorry, I'm not going to be any help.
I just came down with the exact same problem with a 28' CCD. I just want to get it off so I can reseal the valve to the tank.
Was hoping to find direction here, at least I found out that there is a hose connected to it. I'll keep you posted with what else I find.

update on the fresh water valve replacement....after getting the old one off...or i should say braking it off...I found that the hose clamp that holds the fresh water valve and the hose is behind the tank cover...so instead of dropping the whole tank cover everytime I have a problem with this valve, I just drilled out the hole a little bigger so that the hose with clamp now just slides out of the now larger hole...one issue i found is that the length of hose barely extends past the cover...makes for a tight fit, but all is working properly again.

OK, so it is mounted to a tank cover. That answers one question. It means I have a leak into the space between the cover and the tank because my valve leaks around the flange, not out the spigot.
Thanks so much for the reply, it has helped immensely. I hope to be able to repay someday.
Thanks again, Bill

i drilled the hole a little bigger, but it feels like the hose is too short...how big a hole did you drill?
